The disaster thriller Into the Storm churns into theatres this weekend, threatening to sweep audiences into the eye of a tornado.
Richard Armitage (The Hobbit's Thorin Oakenshield) stars as the vice-principal of a Midwestern school who must save the town and reunite his family during a wicked storm.

Directer Steven Quale applies Hollywood's found footage gimmick to capture the action, resulting in a Paranormal Activity meets Twister mashup.
But, unlike the film's computer generated debris, the movie never really takes off says CBC film critic Eli Glasner.
