Canadian newcomer Charlotte Le Bon acted in just four scenes with Dame Helen Mirren in Disney's The Hundred-Foot Journey, but admired the Oscar-winner's sense of confidence right away.
"She's very nice and very generous and she's so confident. I wanna be like that when I grow up."
The 27-year-old Montreal actor, living in Paris, plays the protégé of Mirren's character, restaurateur Madame Mallory, in the Spielberg/Oprah-produced foodie dramedy.

had to have a French accent, and is English, so she was working a lot on that. She's still asking questions and she was really working with us and I like that a lot."
It was a learning curve that Le Bon could relate to, as The Hundred-Foot Journey was her first English-speaking role.
As sous-chef "Marguerite", she also needed to perfect her skills in the kitchen. She turned to her famous chef-friend Jean Imbert in Paris for help, and spent a weekend taking notes at his restaurant, L'Acajou.

"He's always in movement, always moving, always giving orders, yelling, being a dictator. It's really about that, it's about being a leader."
A former model, then TV host in France, Le Bon first leapt onto the big screen in 2012's Asterix and Obelix: God Save Britannia with Gérard Depardieu.
Fast forward a mere two years and she's the next big thing, starring in a pair of new, high-profile biographical films: as the fashion designer's muse in Yves Saint Laurent, and alongside Joseph Gordon-Levitt in director Robert Zemeckis' high-wire tale, The Walk, set for release in 2015.
The Hundred-Foot Journey is in theatres now.
