Homegrown stars of film and TV are shining in Toronto for the 2014 Canadian Screen Awards.
Top nominees and famous faces strode the red carpet into the gala at Toronto's Sony Centre for the Arts, including Orphan Black star Tatiana Maslany, filmmakers Denis Villeneuve and David Cronenberg, comedian Gavin Crawford, Call Me Fitz's Jason Priestley and actor and screenwriter Jay Baruchel.
Maslany's Orphan Black is a front-runner, having already won eight trophies at CSA ceremonies earlier this week.
Villeneuve's psychological thriller Enemy was among this year's top film nominees.
Administered by Academy of Canadian Cinema and Television, the Canadian Screen Awards are the relatively new combination of the previously separate Genie Awards (the Canadian honour for English- and French-language films) and Gemini Awards (Canada's prize for English- and French-language TV and digital programming).
