Have you ever wondered what a Cirque du Soleil performer is like? As the CBC's Jeanne Armstrong found out, they are not too different from anyone else.
She caught up with some jugglers, acrobats and two Native American hoop dancers named Eric Hernandez and Shandien Larance.
The pair, 22 and 21 respectively, are Americans who grew up in separate states — Hernandez in California, Larance in Arizona.
Hoop dancing was always part of their culture and now they spend their lives on the road with Cirque du Soleil Totem as central characters.
Watch the slideshow to above to hear about the pair's most memorable moments and see how they work.
