Pink Floyd is releasing a new album in October called The Endless River.
Pink Floyd lyricist Polly Samson, who is also guitarist and singer David Gilmour's wife, casually dropped the news on Twitter.
In a tweet Saturday, Samson wrote that new record is "based on 1994 sessions" and described the project as "Rick Wright's swansong."

Veteran Floyd backup singer Durga McBroom-Hudson unveiled more details via Facebook, revealing that The Endless River consists of "all unreleased songs" that were originally for a side project called The Big Spliff.
But according to reports in the British media, The Endless River will not feature founding member and long-time bassist Roger Waters nor will it be followed by a tour.
The legendary British rock band hasn't released an album since 1994's The Division Bell.
They celebrated that album's 20th anniversary with a special edition box set released last month.
