The 44th annual Juno Awards are being handed out tonight, drawing some of the nation's biggest stars and fans to Hamilton, Ont.

The coveted trophies will be awarded in a televised gala broadcast on CTV starting at 7 p.m. ET.

Canada's music awards offer more chances to brush shoulders with musical stars than you can shake a drumstick at, and the CBC team is there — live blogging from the performances, the red carpet and behind the scenes all weekend.

Follow all the action on the live blog at the bottom of this page, or follow us live if you're on mobile.

Nominated artists include legendary singer-songwriter Leonard Cohen and Montreal's indie stars Arcade Fire. We'll also be keeping our eyes out to see how hot up-and-comers, like EDM-pop starlet Kiesza and teen Vine star Shawn Mendes, perform.

Also taking to the stage on Sunday: the rock-reggae collective Magic! and award-show stalwarts Hedley.

Canada's alt-pop star Alanis Morissette is also slated to perform. The multi-platinum singer-songwriter is being inducted into the Canadian Music Hall of Fame.
