NASA is all about that space in a new parody music video produced to celebrate Orion spacecraft's first flight.

The video is based on Meghan Trainor's All About That Bass — the third most-watched YouTube video in Canada this year.

NASA Pathways interns at Johnson Space Centre changed the lyrics to Trainor's popular tune to educate the public about what NASA is working on at the centre, including Orion. The spacecraft recently returned safely from its first flight and is expected to travel to Mars in the 2030s.

"Hey, they're working so hard, don't you love these NASA guys? They will take us so far the first time that Orion flies," the All About That Space video goes, as interns dance along to the music in various spots at the centre.

"You know we travelling to deep destinations 'fore too long. So if that's what you're into then join in and ride along."

It's not the first time NASA interns have created a parody video.

In 2012, some interns released a Gangnam Style parody called NASA Johnson Style, which featured astronauts Caldwell Dyson, Mike Massimino and Clay Anderson.

That video was viewed more than 5.5 million times on YouTube.

A couple of months earlier, NASA celebrated Mars Curiosity with a parody of LMFAO's Sexy and I Know It.
