Jamie Oliver has several hugely successful television series, a global healthy food revolution, an expanding empire of Italian restaurants, and a library of bestselling cookbooks. (He's currently touring his latest, Jamie's Comfort Food in Canada.)
But when it comes to getting his four children to eat the food he prepares, the charming celebrity chef admits that success depends on brutal determination.
"Kids are put on Earth to make parents' life a misery," the 39-year-old joked with CBC's Jelena Adzic. "It's just warfare. Simple warfare."
"Sometimes you gotta to lie. Sometimes you get stuff [healthy food] in a smoothie or into the base of a ragout...Mate, I'd suggest anything."

True success, says Oliver, comes from getting the whole family involved in food preparation, and at a time when most celebrities are seeking privacy, the family man is proud to incorporate his own family (daughters Petal, Poppy, Daisy, son Buddy and wife Jools) into his career.
"I understand why certain actors would not want paparazzi...in their lives" says the man who is arguably Britain's most famous food export.
"But Jools and I are confident that we have a stable family life, and sometimes nothing is achieved by covering things up."
