Mick Jagger, Dame Judi Dench and Helena Bonham Carter are joining hundreds of British stars and public figures by signing a petition urging Scottish voters to choose to stay in the United Kingdom in a referendum in September.
The open letter is now available for the public to sign, but the list so far reads like a who's who of British celebrity.
Names on the list include acclaimed astrophysicist Stephen Hawking, comedian Eddie Izzard, broadcaster David Attenborough and reality TV star Simon Cowell.
Supporters of the 'Let's Stay Together' campaign are warning Scots taking part in the referendum that "the decision will have a huge effect on all of us in the rest of the United Kingdom."
The letter also states: "We want to let you know how very much we value our bonds of citizenship with you, and to express our hope that you will vote to renew them."

Despite their efforts, a collective of Scottish artists and creatives is making an equal and opposite push for independence.
Scottish actor and long-time nationalist, Sean Connery, has been vocal about his desire to see his country break its three century bond with England.
Actor Robbie Coltrane, Scottish crime writer Ian Rankin and musician Billy Bragg have also said they'd support a 'yes' vote.
The people of Scotland will vote in the referendum on Sept. 18.
