There's a wide selection of new movies waiting for you this weekend, but CBC's film critic Eli Glasner has found two that are worth your time: the raunchy comedy Sex Tape and the sci-fi thriller Snowpiercer.

On the surface, there's nothing on Earth that should unite these two movies.

Sex Tape stars Cameron Diaz and Jason Segel as a married couple who accidentally push the wrong button while trying to spice up their marriage; and Snowpiercer​ stars Chris Evans (Captain America) and Tilda Swinton​ as they hurtle through a dystopian future on a super train.

Where these two films collide – and according to Eli Glasner, succeed – is in the way they push the limits until the final frame.
