As it turns out, Trevor Wingerter could quit his day job after all.

The Saskatoon plumber sang with the Saskatoon Symphony Orchestra on Saturday night.

Wingerter took to the stage and performed "The Music of the Night" from The Phantom of the Opera.

He brought down the house with his powerful, touching rendition.

"Humbling, that's the best way I can explain it in one word. It was just such a humbling experience," he told Leisha Grebinski on Saskatoon Morning.

"It's just a wonderful opportunity for us, or for myself, to get up onstage and do something we love."

It was all part of the symphony's Night at the Movies.

Musicians performed songs made popular on the silver screen.
