The cinematic storytelling of Louis Cyr, the strongman of St-Henri, was the big winner at last night's Jutra Awards in Montreal.

Louis Cyr: l'homme le plus fort du monde, directed by Daniel Roby, collected nine trophies Sunday night including best film. Among the award winners was the man who played Cyr, Antoine Bertrand.

Earlier in the day, Bertrand had attended his mother's funeral.

His acceptance speech for the award for best actor was one of the most touching moments of the night.

"Louis Cyr was a winner. He proves it to us again tonight. He got his strength from his mother. I do, too," Bertrand said, fighting back tears.

The other big winner of the night was the film Gabrielle, which won five awards including best director and best screenplay.
