The judges for the upcoming fourth season of Battle of the Blades will include world and Canadian figure skating champion Kurt Browning, Olympic gold medalist Jamie Salé and Hockey Night in Canada panellist P.J. Stock.
Salé won the show's first season in 2009 alongside Craig Simpson.
Female hockey player Tessa Bonhomme and Olympic skater David Pelletier won the third season of Battle of the Blades, which returns to the CBC schedule Sept. 22. (CBC)
Hockey Night in Canada's Ron MacLean will continue with his hosting duties on the program, while Blades co-creator and former judge Sandra Bezic will take on a mentor role for the eight new pairs of competitors.
The fourth season will begin on Sunday, Sept. 22, with a two-hour episode titled Battle of the Blades: Made in Canada at 8 p.m. (8:30 p.m. NT). The special episode will feature unseen moments and events from the previous three seasons.
The full cast of competitors for the season will be announced on Sept. 15.
