Nominations will be announced this morning for the Canadian Screen Awards, the revamped film and television honours that replace the Genies and Geminis for the first time this year.
The Academy of Canadian Cinema & Television called the combined award "a true reflection of the multi-platform universe of today" when the change was announced last fall.
The CSA has 120 categories, including 22 for film, more than 85 for television, and additional categories for documentaries, shorts and digital platforms.
The awards will be handed out over three nights.
The final awards gala, hosted by comedian Martin Short, will be televised on Sunday, March 3, on CBC.
